PEACHFUZZ WAXING BRANDING
SEASONAL BRANDING AND MARKETING PROJECTS
BRANDING STORY: I WANT TO LAUNCH MY FREELANCE BUSINESS. BRANDING-WISE WHERE DO I START?
When you finally decide to start your own business, on top of so many logistics, there's a whole another realm of visual branding that awaits: aligned visual mood and message in website, social media, and marketing saves you so much time in the long run - we all know that. But where do you start?
Gabby had another problem. While grabbing coffee at JJ Bean, Gabby asked 'Visually, how will I promote myself as a skilled waxer while not jump scaring everybody with waxing videos and photos?'. I'm in a unique position where an Iphone photo of the outcome will not speak for itself like other creatives such as tattoo artists or hair stylists.

So our journey began.
With 9 months of rain in Vancouver deterring the typical waxing-invoking photos like a margarita on the beach, we decided to go inward: what are some motives for getting waxed? how does it FEEL (not look) afterward? what are some occasions that make waxing a must? why would people follow a waxing Instagram and why would they avoid doing this?
We mainly focused on three things: First, the self-care aspect of waxing. Not for the looks, but the clean hygienic aspect before your period cycle, the refreshing feeling afterward, and the therapeutic aspect of chatting with your waxer. Second is reminding people of the occasions when waxing is needed, such as vacation and holiday seasons. Third is information that you cannot get anywhere else. Coming directly from the specialist, what are some of the things people really want to know but maybe too embarrassed to ask publicly? what are some tips for aftercare? following the waxer will get valuable information delivered to your feed without having to look for it later.

SO WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH HIRING A BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER?
Well, imagine having a go-to person year-round to consult your brand and the content you want to create, schedule the launching of a brand or products, conduct seasonal promotions, or do pretty much anything you need along the way. Having the assurance of carrying out your vision, you'll find yourself taking more actions for growth. Gabby and I do periodical check-ins (it also helps that I'm her waxing client) to ensure she feels confident in her branding, look for opportunities to elevate her brand and keep the social media running with ideas. Not just her photographer, but we also grew to be accountability partners for each other.
CONCLUSION: If you're thinking of creating a brand for yourself, get help with branding early and ideally, look for methods of consistent support to help you up and running smoothly throughout. And know that no matter what, you're doing so well so keep doing what you love!
